The USA goalkeeper has spent this season on-loan with Middlesbrough.

The Sun says City will now seek to cash in on the USA international.

The 28-year-old played for Fortuna Dusseldorf on loan and a return to the Bundesliga has been mooted.

Steffen admits he wants regular first team football and has no interest in playing backup to Ederson at City.
