Manchester City legend Mike Summerbee has backed Micah Richards for success with Fiorentina.

Richards left City for Fiorentina on a season-long on deadline day last week.

Summerbee told TMW: "A good buy for the Viola, a good choice for Richards.

"I'm sure he will be happy in Florence and will be a top player."

Richards' City deal expires at the end of this season.
