Manchester City have jumped into the battle for Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey.

The Ghana international has been a long-term target for Arsenal, but City are now in contact.

Corriere dello Sport says City and Inter are showing serious interest in Partey ahead of the summer market.

The midfielder has complained about a lack of regular action under coach Diego Simeone, though has insisted he is committed to Atleti.

Partey, 25, is contracted to Atletico Madrid through to 2023.
