Manchester City are insisting on a straight sale for Micah Richards.

The Mail on Sunday says Richards but will resist any attempts to let the defender leave on loan before his contract runs out next summer.

It is understood they would accept a relatively low transfer fee of around £4m but the deal would include a number of bonuses if the one-time England defender regains his form and fitness at a new club.
