Manchester City are ready to move on from Kalvin Phillips after manager Pep Guardiola decided on his future.
The Spanish head coach was behind the club's purchase of Phillips back in the summer of 2022.
However, he has been unimpressed each time he has seen Phillips fit into his team.
Per Chronicle Live, they are willing to sell Kalvin Phillips to fund the purchase, with City wanting £40 million to sell the Newcastle United target.
However, the Magpies are said to prefer a loan deal, even if it involves a loan fee.
Phillips has only started two Premier League matches for the Citizens since signing in July 2022.
