The former junior coach of Pedro Porro admits the Spain international's dream was to play for Real Madrid.
Porro is currently on-loan at Sporting CP from Manchester City.
His former Extremadura U16 coach Oscar de Paula told AS: "Pedro has already shown that he can perform at the highest level in any club that wants him and offers him the right context. I'm sure that wherever he goes he will continue to make history.
"I think I remember that both he and his family sympathised with Real Madrid, I'm not 100 percent sure. As for players, he liked Cristiano Ronaldo a lot, he wore his Nike boots with the initials CR7 at the time of the Extremadura youth team.
"I think he was his reference model to imitate, at a football level. Madrid? I think this is a question for the protagonist, since he belongs to City although Sporting is considering executing his purchase option; and I understand that for him it would be to fulfill another dream if the case arose."
