Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is chasing Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott.
The Daily Mail says Lescott is Lambert's priority and while his £90,000 wages are far in excess what can be afforded a deal could be struck for the free agent including a lump sum in advance.
Besiktas are offering a substantial salary for the Manchester City defender but he is thought to hold reservations about playing in Turkey.
