Man City defender Ake: Treble talk now normal

Nathan Ake said Manchester City's players are finally discussing the treble among themselves.

The Citizens have won the Premier League and the FA Cup, defeating Manchester United in the final on Saturday.

Now they only have one game remaining to achieve the milestone their rivals Man United managed in 1998-1999.

“It's only normal that we can talk about it now," said City defender Ake ahead of the Champions League final against Internazionale on Saturday.

“Only one game now and we can do it. It won't be easy. It will be very tough and we'll have to dig in.

“We had to give everything to win the FA Cup and that will give momentum and belief to next week. We've worked so hard for this. It's been a very long season, with the World Cup in between as well. It's important to get these moments and hopefully we can go on and do it.

“It's only been done twice before? Three times? [in Europe]. If you're so close, you're going to do everything to do it. It's still one big final to go and we still have to focus on it. Now we're here it's only one game left to lift another cup."
