Man City defender Ake delighted lifting Super Cup: We're still hungry for titles

Manchester City defender Nathan Ake is delighted winning another trophy after lifting the UEFA Super Cup.

Cole Palmer canceled out Sevilla's established by Youssef En-Nesyri before the game was taken to spotkicks. After the first nine penalties were converted Sevilla defender Nemanja Gudelj drilled his kick against the crossbar to give City victory.

Ake later said: "You never get used [to winning trophies], but we're so happy. We worked hard for it. It was an opportunity for the club, for us as players, to win this for the first time, and we're incredibly happy to do it.

"Staying in the game [was key]. I think it was very difficult. I think we kept the ball on occasion, but every time we lost the ball, they were very dangerous on the counterattack. They sat in very deeply. We expected them to be tough to beat. They're here for a reason, to play [for] this cup.

"We're still very hungry to win titles. I think you could see today that everyone was so happy to win the game. We know that, especially in a final, it's not going to come easily and we're not just going to outplay everyone. We have to fight for it again and again."

On Palmer, he added: "[He was] very good. Very good. He always wants the ball, he's very dangerous [at] dribbling, he's unpredictable. Especially in the second half. I think he was incredible today."
