Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji is happy to have been reunited with Erling Haaland.

So far, the young Norwegian has 20 goals and his old Dortmund team-mate believes he has kicked on already under Pep Guardiola.

"As a footballer he has already improved on what we was at Dortmund," reveals Akanji to the Daily Mail. "He is getting these great assists from his team-mates isn't he? But he tries to improve a lot in training. He does a lot of work by himself.

"As a person he hasn't changed. We all change as we grow but his fundamentals haven't changed. He is still the same. He is still a really fun guy, a family man.

"He enjoys being around the team and spends a lot of time there getting his body ready for the game. That's how he is. I get along really well with him and he has already helped me feel settled here."
