Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al-Mubarak says they're prepared to accept whatever decision Ilkay Gundogan makes this summer.

City's captain is off contract at the end of the month and is interesting Barcelona and Arsenal.

Khaldoon said: "Obviously, Ilkay has to make big decisions in life for him. But in the end, it's totally understandable.

"We always have to respect our players and their wishes...

"He is a captain, a representation of this club, in terms of hard work, always commitment, humility, winning mentality and when you need him in big games, he is always there."
