Man City boss Guardiola will use break to prepare for 'crazy schedule'

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is using the international break to recharge the batteries.

Guardiola admitted he and his players are feeling the strain of going for an unprecedented Quadruple, which remains a possibility after Saturday's epic 3-2 FA Cup quarter-final comeback win at Swansea.

“It's crazy, the fixtures we have in April. That's why we need everybody," said Guardiola.

“The players who play are incredible. They have to sustain that level and the players who need to increase, they have to improve, because we need it.

“Everyone is going to play especially John Stones, Kevin De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy, and all the players who are coming back, because we need everyone.

“I'm tired, but it is what it is. I prefer to be in this position, honestly. But tomorrow you will not find me in Manchester, I assure you.

“We pray the players on international duty come back fit. That's what I want. They have to go there, play with their national teams and enjoy it, but hopefully they will come back fit, like they are now.

“The people who don't have international team have a week off. They [do] have to train, they will have a programme to train every day a little bit, and after that you have one week to prepare for Fulham and the next games."
