Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has thanked Rodolfo Borrell and Enzo Maresca for their work at the club.

Borrell has joined Austin FC as Sporting Director, while Maresca is now in charge at Leicester City.

Guardiola is on the hunt for replacements, as he attempts to ensure his coaching team does not decline in quality.

“I want to say thank you a lot to Rodo for the incredible seven years together and Enzo for the last year," the manager told journalists at a press conference in Tokyo.

“They were an incredible part of the success we had and I wish them the best. They deserve the best.

“We are looking to have some people to help us. But I have enough quality in the [backroom] team [this pre-season] and so far it is okay.

“I have in mind a few people but I cannot say more."
