Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has passed on the chance to sign free agent Diego Costa today.

There have been question marks about Sergio Aguero's fitness and Gabriel Jesus' reliability but Guardiola is not pursuing a deal for Costa, who is looking for a club having agreed a termination of his deal with Atletico Madrid, says the Daily Mail.

The 32-year-old has struggled with injuries this season and is searching for his next challenge.

In terms of other City transfer business, exciting winger Jayden Braaf is completing a loan move to Udinese without the option for a permanent deal at the end of the season, while Taylor Harwood-Bellis should secure a temporary switch to Blackburn Rovers before the deadline.
