Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola this week revealed that back up shot stopper Stefan Ortega is in line to play in the FA Cup.
The Citizens take on Bristol City in the fifth round on Tuesday as they look to move into the quarter finals.
However, the signing from Arminia Bielefeld could get a chance to play in goal instead of first choice Ederson.
“Yes [he'll play]. [He's pushing Ederson] a lot. A lot," Guardiola stated, per the club website.
“The way he's played in Carabao Cup and FA Cup so far. Even in the Champions League when he played against Dortmund.
“We were qualified but fighting for the first position. He's an exceptional goalkeeper. Exceptional."
