Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has taken aim at Manchester United legend Gary Neville over his criticism of naming six substitutes at Burnley.
Neville branded Guardiola's decision not to fill his bench “a joke", claiming it sent the wrong message to his EDS and Youth coaches.
Guardiola could not resist having a go back at Neville when he revealed John Stones and Phil Foden had returned from injury to give him a full squad to face Leicester tomorrow.
“We will have 18 players on the bench - and Gary Neville can be happy," he said. “I am happy."
City will meet Leicester City this week and Guardiola was asked about Riyad Mahrez.
When asked if he would like the Algeria star to play, the City boss said: “Hopefully.
“I wish he comes back soon to play football because we enjoy watching him play.
“Hopefully he will come back as soon as possible for Leicester and play at his level."
