Man City boss Guardiola: Marseille? I remember Boli, Deschamps and Tapie

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has spoken of his admiration for Marseille midfielder Dimitri Payet.

The two teams meet in the second game of their Champions League group tonight.

Guardiola said, "They have a good coach with Villas-Boas, Payet is an important player, Benedetto has experience.

"They read spaces well, they are very good on set pieces. We will have to find a way to control the game. I hope Bernard Mendy can give us some advice on OM."

The City manager continued: "I remember Boli who scored in 93, Deschamps, Bernard Tapie president. It's the first time I've met OM, it's a shame that the stadium is empty, because we know that the supporters are incredible here."
