Man City boss Guardiola: I'll stay here in League One

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he'll never abandon the club.

Amid claims City could be in trouble over Financial Fair Play transgressions, it was put to Guardiola that he would leave the club if they were relegated due to a points penalty.

But the manager said: "At the moment we are innocent until proven guilty. I know people want City to be penalised. I know, I feel it. I'll wait. We will wait and see and after the ruling we will talk about it and I will answer your questions.

"But there is absolutely no correlation between my choice of being here and the division. Absolutely. In fact, for me there is a better chance of staying if we are in League One rather than the Champions League.

"People say 'Why if Everton were punished with 10 points, Manchester City are there?' They are two different cases, it is not the same thing.

"I spoke to my managers who explained to me how the situation is completely different. When the lawyers on both sides present their cases before the judge and there is a verdict, you can ask me any question you want."
