Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says the door is open to skipper Vincent Kompany landing a new deal.
The 32-year-old has battled injuries again this season, but Guardiola said staying fit was not a prerequisite for securing a new deal.
“No I don't think so," he said. "For example the last month he's fit, when he was six months injured say it's not in the last three or four years, it happened every season the same.
"I think that will not be the reason why for Vincent staying one more year or two more years or not. I think that is not the reason why."
