Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is delighted with the progress of Phil Foden.
Foden was named man of the match for last season's Carabao Cup final victory.
Twelve months on, Guardiola says ahead of Sunday's clash with Tottenham: "He played more minutes and when you play minutes you are a better player. All the players who don't play much because I decide for another one, they are right to say better player players play more minutes.
"He was a boy when I arrived, trained every day with these guys. He's playing minutes, getting stronger, it's normal, still an age to get stronger, play more minutes and get better. He has the ability to play different positions. He's a better player but like every player can be better. It depends on him."
