Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is unsure if Kevin de Bruyne will make their clash with Liverpool.

Guardiola was speaking after victory at Southampton, with De Bruyne not appearing.

“I don't know - today he was not able (to play)," said Guardiola.

“Not a big issue – something muscular - but it's normal after three or four months injured.

"So demanding there are some problems.

“I cannot answer if he will be available for Thursday.

“We will see."

The boss also provided an update on fellow midfielder Ilkay Gundogan who was also absent from today's matchday squad.

“I think Gundogan (yeah) (will be fit)," Pep added.
