Man City boss Guardiola: Bravo our Cup keeper

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says Claudio Bravo is a valued member of his squad.

Bravo will start tonight at FA Cup opponents Wigan Athletic.

And Guardiola said: "Claudio is going to play. We are in the Carabao Cup Final thanks to him.

"So I cannot forget what happened here against Wolves (in a previous round), when he saved two rounds of penalties, and the way he played.

"He is the most safest, in the cup. That is the decision this season.

"In the top clubs we need two good goalkeepers, so you cannot survive with just one goalkeeper.

"If one is injured, suspended, something like that and the other one doesn't have the same level. So all the big clubs who play a lot of competitions have two good goalkeepers - and we have.

"His reaction to not playing in the Premier League has been perfect. I know for the players, not just Claudio, for the other ones, when they don't play regularly it's not an easy situation.

"They are here to play, I understand completely. But there is a line where you cannot go through and he has been perfect.

"He's training good, as always, and he knows in football situations change from one day to the other and he has to be ready, like his other team-mates."
