Man City to be without Dzeko for three weeks

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is set for a three-week spell on the sidelines.

The 28-year old suffered a calf injury in the weekend's 2-2 draw with QPR and is expected to be unavailable for both club and country for the next few weeks.

Bosnia-Herzegovina team doctor Reuf Karabeg suggested Dzeko, who will miss his nation's Euro2016 qualifier against Israel in Haifa on November 16, will need some time to get over the problem.

"It's a very serious injury and requires the kind of treatment whose time-frame unfortunately rules out a quick return," he said.

Dzeko added: "I am extremely disappointed with the news that I will miss this match but I have faith in my team-mates and believe that they have it in them to get a result."

Bosnia currently sits second bottom on the Group B table with two points from three matches while Israel are second with two wins from two outings.
