Malmo captain Anders Christiansen defended his teammates after their thumping at Chelsea.

MFF lost 4-0 at Chelsea in last night's third Champions League group game.

Afterwards, Christiansen said: "We play against the reigning champion. It would be strange if there was not a big difference between the winner of the Champions League and the winner of the Allsvenskan.

"Now I know that you are looking for a headline so I have to be careful with how I express myself. I can not do anything about what they're talking about. I focus on our supporters and I am proud of them

"I have decided not to read what is written because it does not help me. I know what I think. But I feel from your questions that you think we should be on the same level as Zenit and that we should compete for third place. But the other three teams are at about the same level. It's hard to play against teams with their economy. It would be easier if we could also recruit players for 400 million instead of 10 million."
