Mallorca targeting Everton striker Rondon

Real Mallorca are targeting Everton striker Jose Salomon Rondon.

Mallorca are coached by the experienced Mexican Javier Aguirre who knows Rondon well from his previous spells in Spain with Las Palmas and Malaga.

The 32-year old was signed last summer by former manager Rafa Benitez and has struggled to win over Everton fans after missing part of last pre season with injury.

He scored just one goal in 20 league appearances for the Toffees last season as they narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship.

The Venezuela international has one year left on contract with the option for another year and is eager to make amends for an indifferent season at Goodison by getting a good pre season under his belt.

However, Frank Lampard is expected to overhaul his attack among other areas and that could push Rondon closer to the exit, says the Daily Mail.
