Maitland-Niles believes Arsenal showed 'unity and togetherness' in win over Watford

Arsenal midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles believes togetherness was the key reason for their battling 1-0 win over Watford in the Premier League.

The Gunners have been on an outstanding run of form since the opening three matches of the league season.

They have now pushed up into contention for the top four, and Maitland-Niles believes their unity will ensure they continue to pick up valuable points in the coming weeks and months.

He told the club's website on the win: "Yeah, we had to dig deep, it took us 96 minutes to get the job done and everyone was out there and showed a lot of unity and togetherness and helped us through the game."

When asked about momentum building over the past few weeks, he added: Yeah of course, we show it every day in training, we're showing it on the match days, the fans were behind us which is even easier for us and they're giving us that extra momentum and today it showed."
