Mainz coach Martin Schmidt insists Yoshinori Muto won't be leaving this month.

The Japanese striker has been linked with a move to Manchester United in January.

However, despite Yunus Malli missing out on a move to Borussia Dortmund, Schmidt says Muto won't be sold.

"The lid is now shut," said the coach.

United were willing to pay €16 million for Muto.
