Mahamadou Diarra insists he wants to stay with Real Madrid.
The Mali international is recovering from major injury suffered last season, but is adamant he wants to be part of new president Florentino Perez's plans.
Diarra said: "No-one from the club has told me they won't be counting on me next season. In any case, I still have a contract with Real.
"When preseason begins, I will be able to join my teammates.
"It will be sensational to play for Real Madrid if the president can bring in these players that everyone is talking about."
