Liverpool summer signing Alexis Mac Allister is fully fit and raring to go for the new season.

The Argentine, who arrived from Brighton this summer, is ready to compete for a starting spot.

Mac Allister came off with an injury in a recent friendly, but appears to be fully fit and not suffering from any issue.

He also outlined his hopes for the new season, stating he is happy to play anywhere.

"It's just a position," he said speaking to the official Liverpool website.

"When you play football and you understand football, you can play wherever you want and that's my idea.

"I try to understand football a little bit more every day. I feel it's a position that I fit really well."

"I watch football a lot and I know how this team plays. Everything is there," he added.

"I think it's a really good idea where the players can enjoy and play football. That's what we will try to do."
