Olympique Lyon coach Bruno Genesio admits Nabil Fekir was disappointed to see a move to Liverpool fall through.

Disagreement over a fee for the OL captain saw the deal collapse before the World Cup.

Genesio said, "Yes, I spoke with Nabil Fekir. I think he was able to evacuate the disappointment, it is fatalistic enough compared to what happened.

"He really thought he was in another club for the start of the season. But he is in Lyon, he is at home, he is qualified in the Champions League.

"I think this season can be very important for him, that he can live next year what he did not experience this summer."
