Luton captain Lockyer happy for Clark after debut

Luton Town captain Tom Lockyer has tipped teammate Jordan Clark to shine in the Premier League this season.

The 30-year-old has finally returned from an ankle ligament problem for the Hatters.

He made his return to the substitutes' bench for Luton against both Liverpool and Manchester United in recent games.

After Clark played the final 18 minutes in the 1-0 loss against United, teammate Lockyer is excited at having him in the squad.

He stated, per Luton Today: “He was really unlucky to pick up his injury in pre-season like he did, but he's put the work in to get back here.

"He is an incredible player, he'll be massive for us this season.

"We're drip feeding him back in now, you can see he's got quality, he's been out for quite a while, so it's not just going to come back to him overnight.

"He's another one who works extremely hard, but it was amazing to see him back out there."
