Luke Young: Aston Villa need to calm down

Aston Villa fullback Luke Young says they can be proud of the way they're playing - but must learn to shut out games after their 1-1 draw with West Ham.

He told AVTV: "We are playing some great stuff and going forward we are looking dangerous in every game we play in.

"But at the moment we can't see the game out and collect all three points. I think we've got to look at it both ways - they had a few chances as well and it was such an open game.

"It was a great game to watch for the neutral but playing in it was a bit hectic.

"When you go a goal ahead you need to calm down a bit, get men behind the ball and try and see the game out."

A major plus point for Villa was the contribution from striker Emile Heskey, who bagged his first Villa Park goal on his return from an Achilles injury.

Young was chuffed to see his team-mate hit the target on his comeback.

He added: "He's been out for a few weeks but he's come in, he looked fresh and he looked good for us."
