Luis Enrique: I'm responsible for Barcelona collapse

Deportivo La Coruna fought back to earn a 2-2 draw at Barcelona today.

Barcelona dominated possession in the first-half, as they often do, but they created very little until Lionel Messi took matters into his own hands, curling a sublime free-kick into the net to break the deadlock, before Ivan Rakitic's thunderbolt doubled their lead just after the hour mark.

Luis Enrique shuffled his pack thinking the game was won, but Depor had other ideas, with goals from the in-form Lucas and a late Alex Bergantinos equaliser snatching an unlikely point for the Galicians.

Enrique's men now hold a three-point lead at the top of the table, with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid still to play, while Depor stretched their unbeaten run to seven league games.

"Maybe I expected more from my substitutes [against Depor], which is equally an error on my part," said Enrique.

“What's happened has happened after [the changes], which is my responsibility."

However, he felt the Catalan side were the better side and deserved to win the game.

Not that he was taking anything away from Depor: “The game, tactically, was different to what we are used to.

“Depor left there three players forward and we had a seven against seven around their area. It was curious, but it worked out well. It was a risk.

“We controlled the game well. It was hard at first but we began to create chances.

“Apart from the offside goal, we'd dominated the game. Deeper ha a bit of fortune. They've grabbed an unjust point.

“It will help us to be better prepared for the Club World Cup, though."
