Germany coach Joachim Low has shut the door on Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil returning to the international fold.
Ozil, 29, retired from international football in July after his side crashed out of the World Cup and he claimed he had been the victim of racist discrimination.
Low has distanced himself from any reunion with a short statement to Bild.
Ahead of his side's Sunday friendly with Peru, Low said: “In my view, Mesut Ozil has clearly declared his resignation and closed the door with it himself.
"A comeback is therefore not an issue at all."
