Sevilla clinched a crucial 1-0 win at Getafe on Saturday.

Sevilla defeat Getafe 0-1 on Saturday at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez. With each team arriving on the back of a league defeat, they were both keen to pick up points. Getafe were looking to get back winning ways after losing their last game 3-0 to Levante.

Sevilla lost 0-1 in the last match they played against Real Madrid. As it stands, Getafe and Sevilla currently occupy 15th and 5th spots in the league, with 13 points and 19 points respectively after 13 matches.

After an uneventful first half, Sevilla continued to pile on the pressure the second half and were rewarded, following a goal from Xabier Etxeita in the 81st minute, sealing a resounding 0-1 victory for the away side.
