LOAN WATCH: Peterborough keen on return for West Brom's Thorne

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson admits he would love to have George Thorne back at the club on loan.

The 20-year old midfielder returned to West Bromwich Albion between Christmas and New Years after making seven appearances for the Posh and has since been involved in four Premier League and two FA Cup matches for the Baggies.

Despite him becoming a part of Steve Clarke's side at The Hawthorns, Ferguson is keen on the idea of having Thorne back at London Road.

"If George becomes available again then I am interested in re-signing him - 100 per cent," said Ferguson.

"We have a few midfielders now that Jack (Payne) has arrived, but a player of George's quality would always be welcome.

"There is no chance of him arriving before this weekend, but the loan window opens on February 8, the day before we play Leicester. "
