LOAN WATCH: Chelsea's Lukaku continues goal-scoring form as Everton defeat Villa

Romelu Lukaku was on the scoresheet for Everton yet again this weekend as the Toffees ran out 2-0 winners over Aston Villa.

The visitors looked to get off to a good start early with Lukaku connecting on compatriot Kevin Mirallas' cross within thirty seconds of play.

However, it would take the on-loan Chelsea striker until the 68th minute to find the back of the net when he swept home Leon Osman's pinpoint pass to finally break the deadlock. Osman would score one of his own with less than ten minutes remaining to seal the win.

Lukaku's fifth goal in five games has helped propelled Everton to sixth place on the Premier League table, only four points off current leaders Arsenal.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez spoke to the Daily Express after the game and was in high praise on Lukaku's performance.

"It is always pleasing to see Romelu improving every game, getting stronger. I thought he was a threat throughout the game and lasted the full 90 minutes," he said.

"This is what the parent club wants - for him to play every minute and to experiment so he can get to the next stage of his career."
