Former Tottenham star Hugo Lloris netted a £2m golden handshake when he left the club recently.

The Frenchman was club captain up until the start of this season, when he had been expected to depart.

While a summer move did not happen, Lloris got away in the winter and is now at Los Angeles FC in MLS.

Per The Mail, the move only happened after Spurs agreed to compensate Lloris.

He negotiated a settlement for the remaining six months of his £100,000-per-week contract.

Lloris recently praised chairman Daniel Levy for the way they have always gotten along during his 11 year stay at Spurs.
