Llorente backing Juventus move for Spurs outcast Hojbjerg: They need him

Former Spain striker Fernando Llorente is backing Juventus' interest in Tottenham midfielder Pierre-Emil Hojbjerg.

The Dane has been linked with Juve ahead of the January market after being relegated to a bit-part role this season under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

Juventus are on the hunt for a new midfield eras Nicolò Fagioli has been banned for illegal betting. At the same time, Paul Pogba is awaiting his sentence after he was caught for doping.

Llorente played for both clubs during his career and believes Hojbjerg would thrive in Turin.

"I met him (Höjbjerg) in the Premier League. He is a leader, a captain and is what Juventus need to start a new successful era," the Spaniard told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
