Liverpool are preparing a second bid for Southampton's Romeo Lavia this week.
The Reds want to secure the young central midfielder before the Premier League season begins.
Per The Mirror, a second bid will push the transfer closer to the £50 million that Southampton want.
The Championship side are willing to sell Lavia, but only if their terms are met in full.
Chelsea also retain an interest, but appear to be focusing on their prime target Moises Caicedo.
Liverpool appear to believe they have a free run at Lavia, while money from the Fabinho and Jordan Henderson transfers can help get the deal done.
