Liverpool will not sell banned Suarez for low ball fee

Liverpool will not consider selling Luis Suarez at a discount after FIFA's massive ban was handed down yesterday.

Liverpool striker Suarez was charged by FIFA on Thursday afternoon for biting Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini, and has been banned for nine international matches, on top of a four months from all aspects of football.

The Daily Star says Barcelona are now hoping to land the Reds striker in a cut-price after FIFA hammered the Uruguay striker.

The La Liga side were preparing an £80m deal that included winger Alexis Sanchez, but may now come in a lot lower as Suarez will miss at least 12 club games next season.

However, the Reds are not ready to wash their hands of the striker just yet and are still expected to fight to keep hold of him.

Kop bosses were still discussing their next move last night and will seek specialist advice before deciding what, if any, move to make.
