Southampton have rejected a new offer from Liverpool for midfielder Romeo Lavia.

The Reds have offered £46m, including bonuses, for the Belgian - their third proposal of the summer.

But Saints have rejected the bid insisting Lavia will not leave for less than £50m, says BBC Sport.

Lavia was left on the bench for Southampton's victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night.

He joined a year ago from Manchester City for £10.5m.
