Daniel Sturridge is set to have his Liverpool comeback postponed.

The Reds were hopeful that the 26-year-old striker would be back for next weekend's trip to Manchester United but reports suggest he is not yet ready.

According to the Daily Mirror, Sturridge has increased his rehab but has been unable to join the rest of the Reds squad for contact training which has seen him basically ruled out of Old Trafford meeting on September 12.

Storage, who last played for Liverpool in April, underwent hip surgery in the USA in May and has been on the road to recovery ever since.
