Daniel Sturridge is eyeing a return to football with Liverpool in a round a month's time.

The 25-year-old striker underwent hip surgery in May and has been on the road to recovery recently after being given the all-clear to recommence training.

It was understood that Sturridge had been told he would be sidelined until November but recent reports indicate he is targeting the September 12 meeting with Manchester United as a potential return date.
