Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez has won great praise after starring for Uruguay.

Nunez laid on two assists as Uruguay won their World Cup qualifier against Chile 3-1.

Commenting on an Instagram post shared by the Reds' No.9 in relation to Uruguay's win, Valverde said: "You're flying", to which Nunez responded: "You're flying, you're crazy brother."

Former Reds star Luis Suarez also stated: "Way to go Darwin! Tremendous match and starting winning is always important!

"Let's go up with everything that's just started."
