Liverpool attacker Christian Benteke reveals that he advised Belgian teammate Eden Hazard to shoot on sight on the weekend.
Hazard put in arguably the best individual performance of the 2016 European Championships during Belgium's 4-0 victory over Hungary on Sunday night.
The Chelsea ace grabbed a couple of assists as well as a wonderful goal against the Hungarians and now teammate Benteke has gone on to reveal that he advised his captain from the bench to take more shots in order to assert himself on the contest.
"I told him that he needed to shoot. In the first-half, he had many opportunities but never took a chance," Benteke told DH.
"From the bench, I was trying to get him to understand he needed to shoot, and in the end, it worked out for him.
"I'm no saying that he scored because of me but I'm really happy for him. People have been hard on him but I'm sure he can keep this form up until the end of the tournament… at least I hope."
