Liverpool hope to recall Divock Origi from his loan at Lille in January. The Daily Express says they will pull out all the stops in order to bring Origi back to Anfield following another injury to star striker Daniel Sturridge.
Liverpool are desperate for goals after seeing Rickie Lambert, Mario Balotelli and Fabio Borini have failed to score in the league this season, and Rodgers will now plead with Lille to cut short Origi's loan spell.
The Belgium international is in fine form for the French outfit, and could be the man to lead Liverpool's charge back up the Premier League table.
