Brendan Rodgers insists he and Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho have 'moved on' from an incident that took place on the weekend.
The 24-year old French defender, who joined from Paris Saint-Germain for £16million in the summer, left Anfield prior to Saturday's Merseyside derby against Everton after being left out of the matchday squad.
Sakho, who was injured in training this week, was seen by a fan departing the famous stadium swiftly after he had received the news before he posted an apology on Twitter and also said sorry to the players and officials in-house.
Ahead of the Champions League meeting with FC Basel on Wednesday, Reds boss Rodgers touched on the Sakho incident and revealed that the issue is now a thing of the past.
"He has picked up a slight strain which might mean he is out for a few weeks," Rodgers said.
"It [the walk-out] is not something we expect from our players. We have spoken, he knows the situation and he has apologised. We move on."
