Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister admits he doesn't fancy Jurgen Klopp's suggestion of a new nickname.

The Liverpool manager has suggested 'Gary' after former Liverpool midfielder Gary McAllister.

But the summer arrival from Brighton told liverpoolfc.com: "I'm sorry, Gary!

"I don't have anything against him but I prefer 'Macca'.

"I know the people who have 'Mac' in their surname are called like this in the UK. I think it's the first time but, to be honest, I like it."
