Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones is determined to show that he can excel on the international stage.

Jones enjoyed an outstanding end of the Premier League season with the Reds.

He is now with the England Under-21 side for the U21 European Championships.

"There are a lot of things I can say," said Jones.

"One is I'm here now at 22 so it's the last time I'll play in an U21s team. I want to finish here on a high. And if I show here now the U21s is too easy, it's another one.

"From a personal point of view for me, and the whole of the team, it's not been won (by England) for such a long time.

“I played in the tournament two years ago and it was hard when you'd go out early. I've had a taste of that. Coming here now, with experience to help the lads and having been around it a lot, I want to show I'm the one."
